🔐 Trezor Suite® | Starting Up Your Access

Trezor Suite® is the official desktop and web application for managing your Trezor hardware wallet. It offers a private, secure, and intuitive environment to manage cryptocurrencies, review transactions, and interact with blockchain networks — all while keeping your private keys offline and secure.

💡 What is Trezor Suite?

Trezor Suite is more than just a wallet interface. It’s a comprehensive security hub that connects directly with your Trezor Model One or Model T. Available as both a desktop app and a browser-based version, Suite allows you to:

🔧 What You Need to Begin

Step 1: Download Trezor Suite

Go to the official Trezor Suite page at suite.trezor.io. Select your operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) and download the installer.

Once downloaded, run the installer and follow the setup prompts. For added security, verify the file’s checksum with the one listed on the Trezor website.

Step 2: Connect Your Device

Launch the Trezor Suite app and connect your hardware wallet via USB. If it’s your first time connecting, the software will prompt you to install firmware.

⚠️ Important: Always install firmware only when prompted by the official Trezor Suite.

Step 3: Install Firmware (If Required)

If your Trezor device doesn’t have firmware installed (as is common with new devices), Suite will prompt you to do so. Confirm the operation directly on your Trezor screen.

Never use a Trezor device that already came with firmware pre-installed.

Step 4: Create or Recover Wallet

After the firmware is installed, you’ll be asked to either:

Follow the on-screen instructions. Your private keys are generated and stored offline on your device — never on your computer.

Step 5: Backup Your Recovery Seed

This is the most important step. Trezor will display your seed phrase — a 12, 18, or 24-word backup key. Write it down carefully and keep it offline.

⚠️ Never save this phrase digitally. Do not take a photo, email it, or store it in the cloud. Anyone who sees it can steal your crypto.

Step 6: Set Up a PIN Code

You’ll now be prompted to create a PIN code that protects your device from unauthorized use. This PIN must be entered every time you connect the device.

Use at least 6 digits, and avoid simple patterns like 123456.

Step 7: Enable Passphrase Protection (Optional)

A passphrase acts as a “25th word” to your recovery seed. It creates an entirely separate wallet on the same device. Use this feature if you want added privacy or plausible deniability.

Warning: If you forget your passphrase, your wallet and funds will be inaccessible — even with the correct seed.

📊 Using Trezor Suite

After setup, you can start using your wallet. The Trezor Suite dashboard shows your balances, recent transactions, and connected accounts.
